EU Election Success across the UK and South East

The Lib Dems gained 15 EU election seats across the UK and achieved a high of 19.6% of the vote share across the entire UK. These are the best results for the Lib Dems in an EU election. The Lib Dems gained two seats in the South East region leaving them with three overall.

Here is how the South East region allocated its seats:

Brexit Party - 4 Lib Dems - 3 Greens - 1 Conservatives - 1 Labour - 1

In Test Valley Borough area, the Lib Dems gained 27% of the vote beating the Tories who only managed to take 12.6%. Labour recived less than 4%. This is the best result for the Lib Dems in the Test Valley borough at a EU election and a huge gain from last time the elections took place.

In Southampton, the Lib Dems came second in the poll beating Labour and the Tories.

Overall, it was an excellent night for the Lib Dems and was a confirmation that the Lib Dems are back and winning!
