Green energy comes to local schools.

20 Feb 2022

Hampshire County Council has at last begun a scheme to reduce energy costs in our schools with greener alternatives. A project to install solar panels on roofs has begun.

Lib Dem Cllr Jo Slimin is chair of the federation and says, " I suggested we had solar panels some years ago so I am very pleased that we are finally seeing schools benefitting from smaller energy bills as well as reducing our carbon footprint. Next we hope to see other improvements to make the buildings more energy efficient which is sorely needed as our schools are 50 years old this year and others in Tadley even older."
