Lib Dems are ready to paint swathes of the country yellow again
Liberal Democrat Leader Tim Farron will today (Monday 1st May) kick-start the party's battle bus tour in London.
He will first campaign alongside Sarah Olney, Vince Cable and Ed Davey in Kingston. He will then move on to Sutton and Hornsey.
Speaking on the first day of the Liberal Democrats' battle bus tour, Tim Farron will say:
"The Liberal Democrats are ready to paint swathes of London and the country yellow again. Britain needs a strong opposition with pro-European MPs like Ed Davey, Vince Cable and Sarah Olney who will hold this government to account.
"Every Liberal Democrat MP elected is a blow to Theresa May's hard Brexit agenda. Millions of people across the country are deeply worried about where our country is heading. This is their chance to change Britain's future and stop a disastrous hard Brexit."
North West Hampshire Lib Dem Spokesman Alex Payton added "A vote for anyone other than the Lib Dems in Hampshire is a vote for the Tories. UKIP are in total disarray and the Labour party don't have a coherent policy for anything. The real opposition is and always has been the Liberal Democrats."
