Richard Blackman - Bassett
RB SotonRichard is the Liberal Democrat Candidate for Bassett Ward in Southampton.

Ricahrd lives and works in Southampton. He currently works at the University and brings 20 years of experience in the voluntary sector having worked in research, and for European, national, and local environmental non-governmental organisations. He is passionate about climate change, the environment and economic policy.

Richard is also a keen believer in personal development and lifelong learning, which is reflected in his active membership of Hamwic Speakers, the Southampton branch of Toastmasters International.

Thomas Gravatt- Swaythling

TomThomas is a committed local campaigner with a strong record of action. If elected, Thomas will fight hard to make sure the council does all it can to protect local services, promote Southampton's history and heritage, and combat climate change.

Thomas grew up in Somerset and moved to Southampton in 2014 to study Modern History and Politics at the University of Southampton. While he was studying he stood for parliament as the youngest Lib Dem candidate in the country. Thomas's passion and commitment to our area make him the best person to be our councillor.
