Steve Neilson selected to represent Whitchurch

Whitchurch Liberal Democrats have chosen Steve Neilson to stand for election to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council in May this year.

If elected he will join exisiting councillor Keith Watts who was re-elected for a four-year term in 2014 so remains on the council until 2018. Liberal Democrats have represented Whitchurch on the Council continuously since Tommy Brooks was first elected in 1978.


Steve Neilson is an Engineer who worked at Overton Paper Mill for twenty years and has lived in Whitchurch for 18 years. Since he took early retirement, Steve has worked for the local community as a volunteer and Lib Dem campaigner. Steve is ready and willing to represent Whitchurch people at Basingstoke.
