This is a chance for voters in North West Hampshire to change direction of the country
Voters in North West Hampshire should vote for the Liberal Democrats to change the direction of the country and ensure Britain has a decent opposition, the party's local spokesperson has said today after the Prime Minister this week called a snap General Election to be held on the 8th June.
Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate Alex Payton (pictured below) commented:
"This election is a huge opportunity for voters in North West Hampshire to change the direction of our country and ensure Britain has a decent opposition.
Many local people voted to remain in the EU. Even among those who did not, many did not vote for the extreme form of Brexit that Theresa May wants to impose on us after being supported by Corbyn's Labour Party.
For all those who want to protect our local economy by staying in the Single Market and ensure the people have the final say over what comes next, this is your chance.
The Liberal Democrats are the real opposition to the Conservative Brexit Government and the only party fighting for a Britain that is open, tolerant and united.
All those who share our values should vote Liberal Democrat in the forthcoming county council elections and again in the General Election on 8th June."
